Delhi-Lucknow Highway Update: Commuters using the Delhi-Lucknow Highway should prepare for disruptions over the next two weeks, as repair work on the railway overbridge (ROB) across the Kosi River is set to begin on October 5. During this period, vehicular movement will be restricted between Photo Chungi, Rampur and the Kosi Bridge, causing delays for travellers.
To reach Moradabad, vehicles will have to travel via the Shahjahannagar bypass to reach the Kosi Bridge. This will add an additional 10 to 12 kilometres. Anticipating the inconvenience faced by motorists traveling on the highway due to the repair work, the police administration has installed banners at various locations, jagran.com reported.

Delhi-Lucknow Highway: Check Diversions
-Traffic in-charge Navneet Singhal stated that a diversion has been made for vehicles during the repair work. Roadways buses and other vehicles traveling from Uttarakhand to Moradabad and Delhi will be diverted via the bypass located at Koyli village, before Chaku intersection. This bypass will allow vehicles to reach Shahjahannagar. From there, they will proceed via the Durgangala bypass to the Kosi Bridge.
-Roadways buses coming from Bareilly must first reach the Rampur bus station to pick up passengers. From there, they will return to Shahjahannagar and then proceed via the bypass via the Kosi Bridge to Moradabad.
-Rampur roadways buses will also pick up passengers and proceed via Shahjahannagar to the bypass. Locals will also travel via the bypass via Shahjahannagar or Ajitpur in their private vehicles, jagran.com reported.

Devendra Singh, manager of the construction company repairing the highway bridge, said that repair work will begin on October 5 and will last for approximately two weeks. During this period, the bridge's expansion points and the bearings on the bridge pillars will be repaired. Traffic on this route will be completely closed until the repairs are complete.
