Amrit Bharat Express: The railways on Wednesday announced that the Amrit Bharat Weekly Express train operating between Malda Town and Gomtinagar will also stop at multiple stations in Bihar. The authority stated that the much-awaited train will stop at several stations, including Sasaram Junction, Dehri, and Bhabhua Station. The decision is likely to significantly provide conveniences to the residents of Kaimur, Rohtas, and Sasaram by cutting the travel time. It also stated that the operation of Amrit Bharat Express will improve the regional connectivity and boost the financial activities in the region.

While providing details, the railway stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the new train from Bhagalpur on July 18. It further stated that official programs will be held at these stations, adding that an officer has been assigned to inspect the preparations. While reacting to the news, the Railway Passengers Association stated that the halt of the Amrit Bharat Express train at both the major stations of the district will provide convenience to thousands of passengers.

The authority stated that train number 13433 will depart from Malda Town on Thursday evening at 7.25 pm and arrive in Sasaram on the next day at around 7.30 am. It further stated that train number 13434 will depart from Gomti Nagar on Friday evening at 18.40 pm and arrive in Sasaram on the next day at around 4 am. It emphasised that the train will significantly reduce the travel time between the prominent cities of West Bengal, Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh.

The railways stated that the train will stop at several stations, including New Farakka, Barharwa, Sahibganj, Kahalgaon, Bhagalpur, Sultanganj, Jamalpur, Abhaypur, Kiul, Sheikhpura, Nawada, Tilaiya, Gaya, Dehri, Sasaram, Bhabua, PDDU, Varanasi Junction, Jaunpur, Sahganj, Ayodhya Dham, and Ayodhya Cantt stations between Malda Town and Gomtinagar. The train will cover a distance of 941 km and reach its destination in approximately 20 hours.
