Under the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list in Bihar, counting papers of over 6.81 crore voters have been collected so far, accounting for 86.32 per cent of the total 7.89 crore voters in the state. Now, with just 10 days remaining until the July 25 deadline, only around 72 lakh voters have yet to submit their forms.

In a press note issued on Tuesday, Deputy Director of the Election Commission, P Pawan, informed that more than 6.20 crore forms have already been uploaded to the Election Commission's portal by 6 PM. Taking into account voters, permanently shifted or registered at multiple locations, a total of 90.84 per cent of voters have been covered in the data collection so far.

To further streamline the process, the Election Commission has activated a new tracking module on its official website (https://voters.eci.gov.in). This feature allows voters to check the status of their counting paper submission in real-time.

Meanwhile, the third phase of door-to-door verification is set to begin shortly. Approximately 1 lakh booth-level officers (BLOs) will revisit households where voters were found to be temporarily absent during the earlier phases.

In addition, 1.5 lakh booth-level agents (BLAs) appointed by political parties are assisting with the drive. Each BLA is permitted to verify and submit up to 50 counting papers per day.

To ensure complete voter coverage, special voter registration camps are being held in 5,683 wards across 261 urban local bodies, aiming to include all eligible individuals in the updated electoral rolls.

Voters who have not yet submitted their forms can do so digitally via the Election Commission's mobile app (ECINet) or the official website.

These platforms allow voters to:

-Fill out the counting paper online

-Search for their name in the 2003 voter list

-Connect directly with their assigned BLO and election officers
