Bihar Assembly Election Results 2025: The Election Commission of India announced the results of Bihar Assembly election 2025 on Friday. The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) swept the Bihar polls, surging ahead in close to 202 out of the total 243 seats, with the BJP emerging as the single largest party with nearly 95 per cent strike rate, bagging 90 seats. The Mahagathbandhan, which includes the RJD, the Congress and three Left parties, was struggling to cross the 35-seat mark. The Bihar poll witnessed a contest of 2,616 candidates with a criminal background. According to a report by the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR), out of 2600 candidates, 838 (32%) have declared criminal cases against themselves.

Anant Singh: Janta Dal United candidate Anant Singh won the Mokama seat with a margin of 28,206 votes. He polled 91,416 votes against RJD's Veena Devi, who bagged 63,210 votes. Jan Suraaj Candidate Priyadarshi Piyush got 19,365 votes. The seat created news after the murder of Jan Suraaj Party supporter Dular Chand Yadav, which led to the arrest of Anant. He registered a victory from jail.

Osama Shahab: RJD candidate Osama Shahab, a son of the late strongman Mohammad Shahabuddin, contested from Siwan. Osama, who declared five criminal cases against himself, won the seat with a margin of 9,248 votes. He has received 88,278 votes. The young leader defeated JD-U's Vikash Kumar Singh, who was polled 79030 votes.

Ritlal Rai: Another heavyweight candidate of RJD, contesting from Danapur, lost his seat. Rai, who 30 pending criminal cases, including murder, criminal intimidation and extortion, received 90,744 votes. BJP's Ram Kripal Yadav defeated him with a margin of 29,133 votes. Currently, Rai is in jail in an extortion case.

Amrendra Kumar Pandey: JD-U candidate Amrendra Kumar Pandey, who contested from the Kuchaikot constituency, won the election with a margin of 24,491 votes. He received 1,01,425 votes against Congress leader Hari Narayan Singh, who got 76,934 votes. Amrendra has 14 cases, including rioting, attempted murder and extortion.

Manoranjan Singh Dhumal: JD-U candidate Manoranjan Singh Dhumal, who has several cases, including murder and attempt to murder, won the Ekma seat with a margin of 22,708 votes. He bagged 84,077 against RJD's Srikant Yadav, who gained 61,369 votes.

Karanveer Singh: RJD leader Karanveer Singh Yadav lost to BJP leader Siyaram Singh with a margin of 24,813 votes. Siyaram, wo won the Barh seat, received 99,446 votes.
