The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday said that the seat-sharing announcement of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections will be done in 1-2 days.

While talking to the media, Bihar BJP president Dilip Jaiswal said that the task of preparing the panel has been made for the selection of candidates for the seats, which the party lost in the last elections.

He said, "We have completed the task of preparing the panel for the selection of candidates for those seats where we could not register a win. The announcement regarding the seat sharing of the alliance partners will be made in 1-2 days."

Regarding the BJP's candidate list, Jaiswal said, "After that, we will submit our list to the Central Election Committee, from where the candidates will be announced."

Jaiswal also said that all the alliance partners, including JDU, Jitan Ram Manjhi's HAM, Chirag Paswan's LJP (RV), and others, have completed their homework for the upcoming polls and the right announcement will be made at the right time.

As the election is nearing, the political activity in the state is revolving around the negotiations over seats within the alliances. The seat-sharing pressure is mounting majorly over the main alliance partners in both the NDA and the Mahagathbandhan.

While RJD is facing demands from Congress and VIP, BJP is working to assimilate LJP (RV) and HAM with respectful seats. According to a news agency ANI, the BJP's core committee will meet on Saturday to finalise the names of its candidates. The names of the candidates will be finalised and sent to the central election committee, which is liekly to meet on the next day, Sunday.

It is reported that PM Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP President JP Nadda and other senior party leaders will be present in the CEC meeting.

It is expected that the final list of the candidates' names will be released on Monday. There are also speculations that all the NDA parties may jointly announce their candidates.
