In view of the upcoming Bihar Assembly Election 2025 and to strengthen law and order, five police officials have been transferred. SSP Sushil Kumar issued the transfer order, directing all officials to join their new postings within 24 hours and submit a compliance report.

As per the order, Inspector Praveen Kumar has been shifted from Police Lines to Zonal Police Inspector of Sadar A Zone, while Manish Kumar has been posted as Zonal Police Inspector of the Town Zone. Kamlesh Kumar has been appointed Town SHO, and Navlesh Kumar Azad has been made SHO of Kajimohammadpur, both from Police Lines. Meanwhile, Sharat Kumar has been moved from Town SHO to Police Lines.

The reshuffle follows the recent transfer of three inspectors, including Kajimohammadpur SHO Jai Prakash Singh, to Shivhar district after completing over three years at their posts.

Officials noted that special eligibility rules govern postings at police stations and zones. Those convicted by courts, named as accused in investigations, or found guilty in departmental inquiries are barred from such appointments.

Additionally, police personnel punished for misconduct towards women, corruption, custodial violence, or other serious charges cannot be posted as SHOs or Zonal Police Inspectors while under the adverse effect of punishment.
