Bihar Election 2025: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday released its first list for the upcoming much-hyped Bihar Assembly Election 2025. The party announced the names of 71 candidates in its list, leading to a controversy in the state unit due to absence of names of some prominent leaders in the list. The saffron party has denied tickets to senior party leader and former Agriculture Minister Amarendra Pratap Singh, outgoing Assembly Speaker Nand Kishore Yadav, and Kumhrar MLA Arun Sinha. While releasing the first list, the BJP stated that the NDA will repeat its government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

While reacting to the list, Nandkishor Yadav clarified that he supports party's decision, adding that he welcomes the new generation to further lead the party. "I stand with the Bharatiya Janata Party's decision. The BJP has given me so much. I have no complaints with the party. I welcome and congratulate the new generation. The people of Patna Sahib Assembly have made me victorious seven consecutive times. I will never forget the affection and love they showered upon me as a BJP candidate. I am grateful to everyone," Yadav stated.
