Bihar Assembly Elections: In the election season in Bihar, almost every popular person is attempting to draw electoral fortune by persuading political parties for the election ticket. Singers in the poll-bound are not standing behind. Some popular Bihar singers are meeting top leaders to get a chance to enter the state assembly. The political parties are also seeing their benefits in giving tickets to them, as in recent times, some artists have performed well on the poll battleground. From Maithili Thakur to Pawan Singh, several artists are seen on the TV screen, displaying celebs' eagerness to enter politics.

Why Singers Want To Enter Assembly

Bihar is a hard political pitch to play. There are not many big political success stories of artists in Bihar. Bhojpuri actor and singer-turned-BJP MP Manoj Tiwari, who hails from the state's Atarwalia village in Kaimur district and has made Delhi his political 'karmabhoomi' (workplace). Another singer, Vinay Bihari, who is the BJP MLA from Lauriya assembly seat in West Champaran, is the only Bhojpuri singer in the outgoing Bihar assembly. Usually, singers see their financial fortune through the political lens and a second option for the career if singing does not work in the future. However, like every ticket aspirant, a singer also claims that he wants to serve Bihar, which is the reason he wants to enter politics.
