Patna Hotel Fire News: As many as six persons were killed after a massive fire engulfed a hotel and two shops in Patna’s Fraser Road Area, Jagran.com reported. The incident has caused utter chaos in the area. Employees of the hotel rescued ten people safely. Several persons were charred to death and their identities are yet to be confirmed. Rescue operations are ongoing. The injured have been taken to the hospital. The condition of four women is said to be critical. Two hydraulic platforms and twenty fire engines are present at the scene.
Police officials from several stations have also rushed to the spot. Two persons were sent to the burn department of the PMC, whose condition is said to be critical. The Pal Hotel and another hotel adjacent to it have been completely engulfed in flames.

As of now over 30 persons have safely been evacuated from the building, DIG Fireman Mrityunjay Choudhary said. The incident was so terrifying that a dozen vehicles parked underneath the hotel also caught fire. Six ambulances have been called to the scene.

According to the locals, the fire occurred due to the gas cylinder blast and the safety standards were not followed in the hotel. A fire audit of all buildings is being conducted near the hotel, said the officials.
