The Bihar government has mandated that all private nursing institutes in the state will be inspected once every three years to ensure they meet the required standards. Institutes found compliant during these inspections will have their recognition extended accordingly.

However, the government has also directed that institutes which did not receive recognition extensions in the academic years 2023–24 and 2024–25 must be issued affiliation orders. These institutes will be required to undergo inspection before admitting students in the 2025–26 session. Failure to do so will result in a halt to their enrollment process.

According to the latest directive, institutes that pass inspection will continue to receive recognition and be allowed to admit students. The results of the inspection reports will be communicated to universities and other concerned bodies for further action.

To initiate the inspection process, institutes must apply to the department with the prescribed fee at least three months before the start of the new academic session. The department will release the inspection report within two months, clearly stating whether the institute’s recognition has been extended.
