Dengue cases are resurging in Bihar, with new patients being reported daily in Patna and other cities, prompting the state health department to issue strict guidelines and launch preventive measures.
The department has directed district Civil Surgeons and Medical Officers to raise public awareness about dengue prevention through social media, newspapers, pamphlets, posters, and banners. In areas prone to waterlogging, authorities have been instructed to carry out anti-larval chemical spraying and fogging. The state is ensuring the availability of fogging machines and malathion in all districts.

Medical institutions have also been instructed to ensure the availability of platelets and to organise blood donation camps as needed.
In addition, essential dengue testing kits are being supplied to all health facilities, and districts have been advised to coordinate with the Urban Development Department for preventive measures.
