Bihar News: The Bihar government has transferred several top bureaucrats from the key posts just a few months ahead of the hyped state assembly election. In an advisory, while providing details, the government stated that the 1998 batch IAS officer Narmadeshwar Lal has been transferred from the post of Principal Secretary of the Minor Water Resources Department. The advisory further stated that Lal has been made the principal secretary of the Sugarcane Industry Department until further orders. However, the bureaucrat will continue to hold the additional charge of Investigation Commissioner of the General Administration Department.

The advisory further stated that 2008 batch IAS officer B Karthikeya Dhanji has been transferred from the post of Secretary of the Sugarcane Industry Department and will take charge as Secretary of the Minor Water Resources Department. Dhanji will also continue to hold the additional charge of Investigation Commissioner of the General Administration Department as before. The government also announced that the 2013 batch IAS officer Chirid Bhutia has been posted as Additional Secretary in the Health Department till further orders.

The advisory also stated that the 2014 batch IAS officer Yashpal Meena has been posted as Additional Secretary in the Health Department. Meena has been transferred from the post of Additional Secretary of the Water Resources Department of the state. The government also stated that Inspector General of Registration-cum-Excise Commissioner Rajneesh Kumar Singh has been transferred and posted as Registrar in the Cooperative Department.

Anshul Aggarwal has been transferred from the post of Registrar of the Cooperative Department and has been appointed as Inspector General of Registration and Excise Commissioner in the Liquor Prohibition, Excise, and Registration Department. Education Department secretary Ajay Yadav has been given the charge of Director (including financial powers), Anugrah Narayan Sinha Institute of Social Studies, Patna. The assembly election in the state is set to be held in the later months of the year.
