Two bridges collapsed in Bihar due to heavy rain and strong water flow, disrupting traffic in more than 50 villages in the state. The bridge near Bahorna village on Khesar-Tarapur main road of Belhar block collapsed on Friday night, while the Barnar Causeway in Jamui’s Sono village was damaged last week.

The administration closed traffic on the bridge and officials of the Rural Works Department reached the spot for the inspection after receiving information. The villagers have demanded that the bridge be made walkable as soon as possible so that traffic movement may be resumed.
