Bihar Railway News: The railway on Sunday announced that several additional trains will operate in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh to manage the expected surge in passengers during the upcoming festivals. The authority stated that eight pairs of special trains will operate for Diwali and Chhath in the upcoming weeks. It further stated that the service period of the special trains operating from Gaya and Muzaffarpur to Anand Vihar has also been extended. The railway stated that operation of additional trains will benefit the residents of multiple districts. It further advised the passengers to follow the guidelines and plan their travel accordingly to avoid any inconveniences.

While providing details, the authority stated that train numbers 03221 and 03222 will operate between Rajgir and Delhi's Anand Vihar through some key stations, including Bakhtiyarpur, Patna, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay, Varanasi, and Lucknow. This special train will be operated from Rajgir on every Monday from October 13 to November 24 and from Anand Vihar on every Tuesday from October 14 to November 25.

The special train will leave Rajgir every Monday at 2 pm and will arrive in Anand Vihar at 1.30 pm the next day. In the return direction, the train will leave Anand Vihar every Tuesday at 4 pm and will reach Rajgir at 4.45 pm the next day. The officials stated that the train will stop at multiple stations in its journey to ensure that maximum numbers of passengers are benefited.

Apart from this, train number 03639, the Gaya-Delhi Special train, will leave Gaya at 10 pm and will arrive in Delhi at 5 pm the next day, stopping at DDU and other stations in between. On the return journey, the train number 03640 Delhi-Gaya Special will leave Delhi at 7 pm and reach Gaya at 11.30 am the next day. The authority stated that the train will provide convenience to the residents of Gaya and other southern districts of Bihar.
