Bihar Private Schools News: The recognition (registration ) of 286 private schools located in 20 blocks of Saran district in Bihar is now in jeopardy. The Education Department is set to initiate action to cancel the recognition of these schools and close their U-Dias codes, unless they comply with the mandatory requirement of uploading student data on the e-Shikshakosh portal within the next two days.
The management of these schools has failed to upload the data of even a single student enrolled at their respective institutions on the e-Shikshakosh portal, despite repeated instructions from the authorities. This dereliction of duty has prompted the Education Department to take stern action, as they cannot allow such a lack of compliance to continue.

Priyanka Rani, the District Program Officer (Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan), has sent a letter to the principals of the affected schools, giving them a strict deadline of two days to start uploading the details of all enrolled students on the e-Shikshakosh portal. The letter also warns that if the schools do not comply, their registration will be cancelled.
Disregard Of Department Data
In the letter, Rani expressed her disappointment, stating that despite repeated reminders, the schools have not even begun the process of entering the student data on the portal. This, she said, is a clear disregard of the departmental orders and cannot be tolerated.
E-Shikshakosh Portal
The e-Shikshakosh portal is a crucial tool that helps students avail the benefits of educational schemes and access information related to teachers. It also allows for the online monitoring of teachers and students, making it a vital resource for the education authorities.
