In a tragic incident in Patna’s Janipur area, two children were allegedly burnt alive in their home, according to police reports. The victims, identified as siblings Ansh and Anjali, had just returned from school when the attack occurred.

According to the NDTV report, a disturbing video from the scene shows one of the children’s charred bodies lying on a bed, partially covered with a cloth. Their mother, a nurse employed at AIIMS Patna, was seen in tears beside her son's body at the entrance of their home, as neighbors gathered to comfort her.

In a move to enhance public safety and ensure rapid emergency response, Patna Police has introduced a new initiative involving the installation of emergency call boxes at major intersections and public areas across the city.

As part of the rollout, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP-II) Dr. Gaurav Kumar conducted an inspection of the Integrated Command and Control Room (ICCR) at Patna Sahib railway station on Tuesday. During his visit, he reviewed the public address system and tested a nearby emergency call box.

Dr. Kumar stated that the initiative is aimed at creating a safer and more accessible environment for citizens. The emergency call boxes will provide direct communication between the public and the ICCR, enabling police to respond swiftly in emergencies.

He urged residents to actively use the system and support law enforcement efforts to improve city-wide safety. The DSP expressed confidence that the project will not only enhance emergency response times but also contribute to Patna’s transformation into a safer and smarter city.
