BPSC Protest: Khan Sir, the popular educator and YouTuber, once again stepped onto the streets of Patna on Monday in solidarity with thousands of Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) aspirants. The issue at hand is the 70th BPSC Combined PT Examination, which was held on December 13, 2024. Students are demanding the cancellation of the exam and the conduct of a re-examination, citing serious irregularities and allegations of a paper leak.
Khan Sir reiterated the students’ demand, stating, "We want a re-exam, and the government will benefit from conducting it. We don't have any political aspirations. The re-exam will be beneficial for the government as well." He emphasised that the government's decision to hold a re-exam would not only restore fairness but also strengthen the credibility of the process.

Khan Sir, in his address, also expressed his confidence in the students' cause. "I am sure the government will conduct the re-exam as we have presented evidence in the High Court. The court will rule in favour of the students," he said. His demand for the release of the treasury reports of Gaya and Nawada further pointed towards possible corruption within the system. "There is definitely a scam," Khan Sir added, underlining that all the demands being raised by the students were legitimate and should be taken seriously by the authorities.

BPSC Protest In Bihar

The crisis started when around 3.8 lakh candidates appeared for the BPSC exam across 912 centres in Bihar. Soon after the exam, students raised concerns over the integrity of the process, alleging that the question papers had been leaked. Additionally, there were delays in the distribution of the papers, and many students claimed that the quality of the paper was poor, resembling model papers from coaching institutes.
The protests, which began on December 13, 2024, have since gained momentum, with students marching in large numbers, pressing for the cancellation of the exam and fresh conduct. Their demands include a re-exam, the withdrawal of FIRs filed against protesting students, and the cancellation of the original exam due to its flawed execution.
In response to the protests, the BPSC announced a retest at the Patna centre on January 4, 2025. However, the students remain firm on their stance, calling for a state-wide re-examination. Despite this, the Supreme Court declined to entertain a plea for the cancellation of the exam, leaving the issue unresolved.
