BRA Bihar University has announced that only teachers will be assigned invigilation duties for the upcoming PhD Admission Test (PAT). Non-academic staff or other personnel will not be used for supervision, the university said. Colleges have been asked to submit a list of teachers to facilitate the preparation of a robust examination plan.

The PAT is now scheduled to be held on October 14, following its postponement last month due to a question paper leak. A recent meeting of university officials approved the decisions of the Examination Board regarding the conduct of the test.

This time, six centres will be set up, including the University Examination Hall and five college venues. According to sources, the number of personnel at each centre, including invigilators and observers, will be doubled. For example, centres that previously had two observers will now have four.

The university is also taking measures to avoid assigning very senior teachers to examination duty. One centre previously used will be replaced, with LS College specially designated for enhanced multiple-level checks and inspections. Candidates will be seated only in the examination hall.
