The central government is set to establish three nuclear power plants in Bihar. The government, along with NPCIL-NTPC, has begun preparations for the project in Siwan, Banka and Rajauli.

State Home Minister Samrat Choudhary has announced via X that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the central government has started preparations to install 3 nuclear power plants in Bihar.

A joint team from NPCIL–NTPC is examining all aspects at the three locations, including seismicity, water availability, land availability, population density, and ground conditions.

The joint team will soon submit its detailed report to the central and state governments. These steps are crucial for the swift achievement of the country's goal to produce 100 gigawatts of nuclear energy.
