The Danapur Railway Division is set to modernise several stations to enhance passenger convenience, following the upgrade at Patna Junction. Patliputra, Rajendranagar Terminal, Ara, Biharsharif, and Buxar stations will soon feature fully digitised information systems providing real-time updates for travellers.
Over 25 TV screens will be installed across platforms at each station, displaying train arrivals, departures, and platform numbers. A key highlight will be a massive 432-square-foot screen, 36 feet wide and 12 feet high, mounted on the main station complex portico, continuously showing train schedules and real-time status.

Company advertisements will also appear on the screen at regular intervals, though none will be displayed during train arrivals or departures. Remarkably, the railways will not bear any cost for the project. The company installing the screens will fund the initiative and, in return, retain advertising rights.
Earlier plans involved smaller screens with an estimated cost of around Rs 90 lakh, but the new model offers larger, more advanced displays at no expense to the railways.
