Preventive Measures For Dengue
The Aedes mosquito, which spreads dengue, breeds in clean, stagnant water and is more active during the day. To control this, citizens have been advised to clean sources of stagnant water in and around their homes, such as coolers, flower pots, broken utensils and water collected on rooftops. It is essential to empty and clean these places every week.
It was also stated that mosquito nets should be used both day and night, especially for children. In addition, wearing full-sleeved shirts and trousers can help prevent dengue. Regular spraying of anti-larval chemicals and fogging in waterlogged areas has also been advised.
