Bihar Polls: Bhojpuri cinema's prominent figure, Khesari Lal Yadav, has taken a significant leap by joining politics. He has filed his nomination papers as the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) candidate from the Chapra assembly constituency in Bihar's Saran district. According to his affidavit, Khesari Lal Yadav's total assets amount to a staggering Rs 24.81 crore.

Khesari Lal Yadav, the RJD candidate from Chapra, has an impressive asset portfolio. His total assets amount to Rs 24.81 crore, comprising Rs 16.89 crore in moveable assets and Rs 7.91 crore in immovable assets. His movable assets include a luxury car worth Rs 3 crore, cash of Rs 5 lakh, and gold jewelry valued at Rs 35 lakh. Additionally, he has multiple bank accounts.

His wife, Chanda Devi, has assets worth Rs 7.39 crore, consisting of Rs 90.02 lakh in moveable assets and Rs 6.49 crore in immovable assets, along with Rs 2 lakh in cash. Khesari Lal Yadav's net worth is estimated to be around Rs 124 crore, according to some sources, while others estimate it to be around 12-15 million USD, approximately Rs 124 crore.
Khesari Lal’s Humble Beginning
Khesari Lal Yadav's journey had a humble beginning to becoming a millionaire. Born in a poor family, he had to work multiple jobs, including selling litti-chokha on the streets and cattle herding, to make ends meet. According to him, his father juggled between jobs, from selling goods on the road to doing guard duty at night.
He got his first breakthrough in Delhi, and the opportunity led him to the Bhojpuri film industry, where he has acted in over 100 films and sung more than 5,000 songs.
Khesari Lal's Affairs Often Make Headlines Despite His Marriage
Khesari Lal Yadav's personal life has been in the news, particularly his alleged affair with co-star Kajal Raghwani. The duo parted ways after dating for years. Despite being married to Chanda Devi since 2006, he has been linked to several controversies. Currently, his name is being associated with actress Akanksha Puri.
