A newly married woman died under suspicious circumstances just six months after her wedding in the Gyan Lok locality on Sanjay Cinema Road, under the jurisdiction of the Brahmpura police station. The discovery of the woman's body on her bed caused a sensation in the area.
Upon receiving the news, local residents gathered at the scene. The woman's maternal family also arrived and created a commotion, alleging that she had been murdered.
Police Investigation And Detainment
According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Khushbu Singh, wife of Sudhanshu Singh. The Brahmpura police reached the spot, pacified the agitated crowd, and sent the body to SKMCH (Sri Krishna Medical College and Hospital) for a post-mortem examination.
Based on a complaint filed by the victim's maternal family accusing the in-laws of murder, the police have detained the husband for questioning. During interrogation, the husband identified himself as a civil engineer, though reports suggest he is currently employed at a private agency.
Suspected Cause Of Death
During the investigation, police found a room heater and remnants of an extinguished fire inside the room. Preliminary suspicions point to death by suffocation (asphyxiation). However, the police maintain that the actual cause of death will only be confirmed once the post-mortem report is released.

Allegations Of Harassment
Family members stated that Khushbu was married on June 1st of this year. They alleged that she was being harassed and tortured by her in-laws shortly after the wedding, a fact she had shared with her parents.
On Friday morning, the woman's father-in-law called her family, informing them that she had died due to burns and suffocation. Following this call, the family rushed from Patna to Muzaffarpur. Currently, the police are in the process of registering an FIR based on the family's complaint and are conducting a thorough investigation into the matter.
