Union Minister and Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) chief Jitan Ram Manjhi on Sunday expressed displeasure over being allocated six seats to contest the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections.

Manjhi said that he accepts the seat-sharing arrangement, but they have been undervalued with a six-seat allocation. He added that there may be consequences for NDA.

While talking to the media, Manjhi said, "What the high command decided, we accept, but by giving six seats, they have undervalued us; it may have repercussions in NDA."

While he expressed his discontent, he said that he is not unhappy. "In Parliament, we were given one seat, still we were still happy. Here, we have been given six seats, and we respect the decision of the leadership," Manjhi added.

On Chirag Paswan's LJP (RV) getting 29 seats, Manjhi said, "Others can understand what they received, but we are satisfied with what we have been allotted and we have no complaints."

BJP's Bihar poll in-charge Dharmedra Pradhan on Sunday evening announced the seat-sharing plan under which the JDU and the saffron party will contest 101 seats each. The biggest gainer is Chirag Paswan, whose LJP (RV) got 29 seats to contest the upcoming elections.

Along with HAM, Upendra Kushwaha's Rashtriya Lok Morcha will also contest 6 seats. Kushwaha has welcomed the pact and reinforced his commitment to fight united with the NDA.

The Assembly elections in Bihar are less then a month away. The Election Commission has announced to hold the polling in two phases. In the first phase, 121 seats will go to polls on November 6.

The voting for the remaining 122 seats will be held in the second phase on November 11. The counting of the votes in all constituencies wll be held on November 14.
