Bihar BJP Coordinator Dharmendra Pradhan has responded to the allegations of an ‘internal rift’ raised by the opposition over the absence of former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar from major political rallies of the NDA.

Pradhan further said that it was the NDA’s strategy to send each leader on their respective individual campaign amid claims that the former Chief Minister was absent from the rally of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Pradhan said, quoted Jagran.com, "Before the elections, Prime Minister Modi had attended 7-8 government programmes on the invitation of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and the Bihar government... On October 24, the election campaign started in the village of Jananayak Karpuri Thakur in Samastipur, where all the NDA leaders, including Prime Minister Modi, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Upendra Kushwah, and Chirag Paswan, were present." Pradhan further said that this was part of the strategy of the NDA.

Congress Responds To Nitish Kumar’s Absence

The Congress party has alleged that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has been skipping the Prime Minister’s roadshow in Patna and other BJP rallies across Bihar. The party further claimed that the former CM resorted to such an act after the BJP decided not to make him the Chief Minister again.

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge stated, “It is evident that Nitish Kumar will not return as Chief Minister. The BJP leaders are conspiring against him. He was not even allowed to speak during the release of the NDA manifesto.”
