Patna Weather Update Today: The Indian Meteorogical Department(IMD) forecast that Patna, the capital city of Bihar, is expected to witness partly cloudy skies with light rainfall and thunderstorm on Saturday. According to The Weather Channel, the city is likely to register a maximum temperature of 34 degrees Celsius which is anticipated to dip to 26 degrees celsius in the night. During the day, hazy weather with partial cloud is expected, while night is likely to remain clear. 

The maximum temperature in the city for the next week is predicted to hit 41 degrees Celsius, however days ahead of next week will remain sunny and hot weather will make a comeback. 

Bihar Weather Forecast

Bihar's eastern districts are under a weather alert for Saturday, with forecasts indicating partly cloudy skies, sporadic rain, and thunderstorms. The India Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for heavy rainfall and thunderstorms in several districts, including Supaul, Madhepura, and Katihar. Strong winds and lightning are expected, with gusts reaching 30-40 km/h. Specifically, Bhagalpur and Katihar are at risk for isolated heavy rainfall. This weather pattern, driven by moisture-laden winds from the Bay of Bengal, is expected to persist in north-eastern Bihar for the next three days, followed by a gradual temperature rise.

Highest Rainfall Recorded in Bakhri, Begusarai

Rainfall activity was widespread across the state in the past 24 hours. Bakhri in Begusarai district recorded the highest rainfall at 63.2 mm, followed by:

  • Tarapur (Munger) – 60.2 mm

  • Begusarai – 57.2 mm

  • Hayaghat (Darbhanga) – 52.8 mm

  • Rosda (Samastipur) – 49.2 mm

  • Gogri (Khagaria) – 44.0 mm

  • Sarmera (Nalanda) – 43.0 mm

  • Khusrupur (Patna) – 42.2 mm

  • Sahkund (Bhagalpur) – 40.4 mm

  • Sultanganj – 39.2 mm

  • Amarpur (Banka) – 38.6 mm
