Puja Special Train:  In view of increased passenger rush during the festive season, particularly Dussehra and Diwali, the Indian Railways has decided to run a special train on the Gaya–Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay (DDU) rail section via Sasaram.

The New Delhi-Dhanbad Festive Special Express train will run between Delhi and Dhanbad via Sasaram and Dehri-on-Sone. The train will run from September 20 to November 30, offering convenient travel options for passengers during the festive season.

- Train number 04456 (New Delhi-Dhanbad) will operate from New Delhi to Dhanbad from September 20 to November 30, 2025. The train will depart from New Delhi at 10:40 PM and will reach Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction at 5:20 PM on the next day. In its journey, it will reach Bhabua Road at 6:15 PM, Sasaram at 6:46 PM, Dehri on Sone at 7:08 PM, Anugrah Narayan Road at 7:28 PM, and Gaya Junction at 10:30 PM.

- In the return journey, train number 04455 Dhanbad-New Delhi) will run from Dhanbad to New Delhi daily from September 22 to December 2. The train will depart from Dhanbad at 4:00 AM and reach Gaya Junction at 7:30 AM, Anugrah Narayan Road at 08:40 AM, Dehri on Sone at 9:00 PM, Sasaram at 9:20 PM, Bhabua Road at 9:53 PM and Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction at 11:10 AM.

In its journey, the train will stop at Ghaziabad, Moradabad, Bareilly, Rae Bareli, Pratapgarh, Varanasi, Koderma, Hazaribagh, and Gomoh.
