Rahul Gandhi Bihar Visit: Congress leader and LoP Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, reacted to the clash between workers of his party and Bharatiya Janata Party in Patna, saying the fight to protect the constituency would continue regardless attacks on them.

"Truth and non-violence prevail, untruth and violence cannot stand before them. Beat and break, as much as you want to beat and break - we will continue to protect truth and the Constitution. Satyameva Jayate," he tweeted hours after attack on the Bihar Congress office in Patna.

Earlier, the BJP held a massive protest over derogatory remarks allegedly made against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his late mother during the Congress-led Voter Adhikar Yatra in Darbhanga. Videos emerged on social media showing the BJP workers breaking the entry gate of the Congress office, before engaging in a street fight with Congress workers.

Meanwhile, on Friday, Gandhi, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav and Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) chief Mukesh Sahani led the Vote Adhikar Yatra in Bettiah.

One Arrested For Derogatory Remarks Made Against PM Modi, His Mother

SP City Ashok Kumar Chaudhary said a case has been registered, and an accused arrested. "The person is identifying himself as Raja. Action will be taken against those found involved," he added.

The BJP on Thursday asserted the Congress-led INDIA bloc will be "punished" by the people in the upcoming assembly polls. A delegation of the state BJP also lodged a complaint at the Kotwali police station here on Thursday in connection with Wednesday's incident in Darbhanga town, from where Gandhi, her sister and Congress general secretary Priyanka Vadra and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav had left for Muzaffarpur on motorcycles.

Reacting to the episode of a video clip purportedly of Darbhanga district, which has gone viral on social media, Deputy Chief Minister and former state BJP president Samrat Choudhary said "the behaviour of the crowds was characteristic of the RJD's hooliganism. And the Congress puts up with rowdy behaviour in its blind quest for power".
