Bihar Amrit Bharat: Passengers from Bihar will soon have more affordable travel options to major cities across the country, as Indian Railways prepares to introduce Amrit Bharat trains on several routes.

According to a report by Jagran.com, the railway is gearing up to run Amrit Bharat trains from Bihar to Mumbai, Delhi, Surat, and Punjab starting in the new year 2026. This will reduce the struggle for tickets on these high-demand routes.

Bihar Amrit Bharat Trains: Key Routes Planned

-Second Amrit Bharat train from Patna to Mumbai and Delhi.

-One train each from Muzaffarpur to Surat and Samastipur to Punjab.

Operations on the Patna–Mumbai route are expected to begin by April.

Railway officials said proposals for new trains have come from East Central Railway and other zones. Trains will be introduced as per the requirement. The construction of around 100 Amrit Bharat rakes is progressing rapidly. Additionally, about 200 Vande Bharat and over 50 Namo Bharat rakes are under production.

Bihar Amrit Bharat Train: Trains To Be Introduced After Survey

Railway authorities have received proposals for Amrit Bharat, Namo Bharat, and Vande Bharat trains from various Lok Sabha constituencies in Bihar. Surveys will be conducted before final decisions are taken on new services.
