In view of the upcoming Shravani Mela 2025, Indian Railways has announced the operation of four pairs of special trains to facilitate smooth and convenient travel for devotees. These trains will operate on multiple routes connecting key destinations with Jasidih and Deoghar, the central sites for the religious fair.

East Central Railway’s Chief Public Relations Officer, Saraswati Chandra, confirmed the development and appealed to devotees to avail the special trains for a comfortable pilgrimage experience.

1. Ara–Jasidih–Ara Shravani Mela Special (Train No. 03270/03269)

This weekly train will run every Sunday from July 13 to August 10. It will depart from Ara at 12:15 PM and reach Jasidih at 12:10 AM the next day via Patna and Jhajha, halting at all stations en route. The return journey from Jasidih will begin at 12:30 PM on the same day, reaching Ara at 11:45 PM.

2. Katihar–Deoghar–Katihar Shravani Mela Special (Train No. 05716/05715)

This weekly service will depart from Katihar every Thursday at 2:20 PM from July 10 to August 7, reaching Deoghar at 4:15 AM the following day. The return train will leave Deoghar every Friday from July 11 to August 8 at 5:45 AM and arrive at Katihar by 9:10 PM. Major halts include Purnia, Araria, Supaul, Saharsa, Munger, and Sultanganj.

3. Dibrugarh–Deoghar–Dibrugarh Shravani Mela Special (Train No. 05926/05925)

Operating five days a week—Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Monday, and Tuesday—from July 10 to August 9, the train will depart from Dibrugarh at 9:40 AM and reach Deoghar at 8:25 PM the next day. Return services will run every Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from July 11 to August 10, departing Deoghar at 9:55 PM and arriving in Dibrugarh at 8:30 AM on the third day. Key stations include Guwahati, New Jalpaiguri, Katihar, and Bhagalpur.

4. Ranchi–Bhagalpur–Ranchi Shravani Mela Special (Train No. 08646/08645)

This special train will operate three days a week—Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday—from July 10 to August 10. It will depart Ranchi at 11:00 PM and arrive at Bhagalpur at 12:05 PM the following day. The return service will run every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from July 11 to August 11, leaving Bhagalpur at 1:10 PM and reaching Ranchi by 3:30 AM the next day. The train will pass through Barkakana, Koderma, Nawada, and Sultanganj.

The Railways has urged devotees to plan their travel early and utilise these services for a safe and hassle-free pilgrimage experience during the sacred month of Shravan.
