Jan Suraaj Party founder Prashant Kishor launched his election campaign from Raghopur on Saturday, directly challenging RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav in his home constituency. Before departing for the tour, Kishor addressed the media in Patna, claiming that the mere possibility of his candidacy has already created a "fear of defeat" for Yadav.
"The mere discussion of me contesting from Raghopur has prompted Tejashwi Yadav to start looking for a second seat," Kishor stated. "If I were to contest from Raghopur myself, Tejashwi would be forced to flee from there. He will have to face the same situation that Rahul Gandhi faced in Amethi."
However, Kishor clarified that a final decision on his own candidacy has not yet been made. "I am going to Raghopur... a decision on the seat is yet to be made," he said. "Before the central committee meeting tomorrow, I will meet the people there and seek their opinion. A decision on Raghopur and other seats will be taken tomorrow. Whatever the people of Raghopur decide will be final."
Addressing the recent clarification by Bhojpuri actor and BJP leader Pawan Singh that he would not contest the Bihar assembly elections, Kishor denied any involvement. "This is not my 'influence'," he remarked. "Pawan Singh is my friend, wherever he may be. I have nothing to do with Pawan Singh's family matters. I met his wife yesterday, but it was not for political reasons. Why would Pawan Singh be afraid of me? I have no enmity with him."

Kishor also challenged several senior BJP leaders, including Samrat Choudhary, Mangal Pandey, and Dilip Jaiswal, to declare which constituencies they will contest from, noting they had previously challenged him legally.

He concluded by redirecting his attack on Tejashwi Yadav, stating the RJD leader should not fear him, but the people. "It is only Tejashwi Yadav, for whom the people of Raghopur voted – they made his parents CM and made him Deputy CM. Now, the people there are in trouble, but Tejashwi does not care. He must be scared because of this."
