Bihar Election 2025: RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on Tuesday debunked the reports of confusion on the chief ministerial face in the opposition camp, adding that the announcement will be made at the "right time". The clarification from Bihar's former deputy chief minister came as he kicked off his “Bihar Adhikar Yatra" from Jehanabad. The RJD leader further stated that the people of Bihar are looking for a change, adding that the NDA government has failed to deliver its promises. Earlier last month, Tejashwi announced himself as the chief ministerial face in front of senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi during the 'Voter Adhikaar Yatra'.

“There is no confusion in our alliance. The people are the owners of Bihar and they make the chief minister. This time, they want a change. Go and ask any person in Bihar whom they want to see (as chief minister), the answer will be received," the RJD leader was quoted as saying by ANI. Earlier last week, Tejashwi urged the voters from across the state to see him as their candidate and vote in his name.

“This time, Tejashwi will contest all 243 seats. Whether it is Bochahan or Muzaffarpur, Tejashwi will fight. My appeal to all of you is to vote in my name. Tejashwi will work towards taking Bihar forward… All of us should work together and unseat this government," Yadav announced. Apart from this, the RJD leader had also announced himself as the chief ministerial candidate in the presence of Rahul Gandhi and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav.

While addressing the crowd, Yadav stated that the current government is copying his ideas, adding that the people of Bihar need an "original" chief minister. “Do you want an original Chief Minister or a duplicate?" he asked the crowd as they cheered. The much-awaited assembly election in Bihar is set to be conducted in the later months of the year.
