Pan Card Update: The Central Board of Direct Taxes is going to make Aadhaar Card mandatory for making a new Permanent Account Number (PAN) from July 1, 2025, jagran.com reported. Apart from this, people have been asked to link their PAN and Aadhaar cards as soon as possible. At present, any document is considered valid as proof for date of birth, name and identity for making Pan Card.

You Can Link Pan And Aadhaar Till This Date

Currently, while making a PAN Card, users are given the option to link Aadhaar with PAN card. However, now, the linking will become mandatory. Users can link PAN Card with Aadhaar till December 31, 2025. However, if someone links a PAN card with Aadhaar after December 31, then the person will have to pay a penalty.

How To Link Aadhaar With PAN Card?

PAN card can be linked to Aadhaar through income tax e-filing.

Step 1- First of all you have to go to the tax e-filing website.

Step 2- Here you will get the option of Link Aadhaar, click on it.

Step 3- Now enter both PAN and Aadhaar number here.

Step 4- After this, enter the mobile number which is registered with both of them.

Step 5- Now click OK on I agree to validate my Aadhaar details with UIDAI.

Step 6- Finally you will get the message PAN Has Been Linked Successfully.
