Bank Holiday List November 2025: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released the list of bank holidays for November 2025. While the month has only a few national holidays, several state-specific holidays are also scheduled, which could affect banking, finance, insurance, and other related sectors.
As usual, banks will remain closed every Sunday and on certain Saturdays (including the second and fourth). In addition, banks will observe closures for major festivals and occasions as per local calendars.

State-Specific Bank Holidays In November 2025
Besides the national bank holiday schedule, several state-specific bank holidays in November 2025 are also worth noting. Key holidays include:
- Saturday, November 1: Karnataka observes Kannada Rajyotsava, Haryana celebrates Haryana Day, Manipur marks Kut, and Puducherry observes Liberation Day.
- Friday, November 7: Meghalaya celebrates the Wangala Festival.
- Saturday, November 8: Besides the second Saturday closure, Karnataka celebrates Kanakadasa Jayanti and other regional holidays.
- Tuesday, November 11: Sikkim marks Lhabab Duchen, adding to the state-specific bank holiday list.
Bank Holiday Impact: What You Need To Know
- Branch Services: Cash counters, cheque clearing, and interbank transfers may be limited or unavailable on bank holidays. However, online banking may continue.
- Customer Updates: Banks and NBFCs should inform clients, especially corporate customers, about closures and possible delays in settlements.
- Staff and Operation Planning: Banks with branches across states should align staffing, training, and branch activities with regional holidays.
- Payments and Settlements: Corporate treasuries and payment teams should account for key dates, November 5, 8, and 22, when branch-based banking services will be unavailable.
- Regional Differences: For banks with branches across states, regional holidays in states such as Karnataka, Meghalaya, and Sikkim can cause uneven branch availability, which means national-level plans must accommodate local closures.
