Bank Holiday on Guru Nanak Jayanti: Banks in several states will remain shut on Wednesday, November 5, due to Guru Nanak Jayanti and Kartik Purnima observances. As physical branches close in many regions, customers planning in-person transactions are seeking clarity on where services will be impacted.

As per the Reserve Bank of India, banks will be closed in the following states:

- Jammu and Kashmir
- Uttar Pradesh
- Nagaland
- West Bengal

- Chhattisgarh
- Jharkhand
- Himachal Pradesh

Check Upcoming Bank Holidays in November

- November 6: Banks in Bihar and Meghalaya will be closed for the Nongkrem Dance Festival and the Bihar Assembly elections.

- November 7: Holiday in Meghalaya for the Wangala Festival.

- November 8: Karnataka banks closed for Kanakadasa Jayanthi.

While bank branches will be closed, digital banking channels like internet banking, mobile apps, UPI, and ATMs will continue to operate. Customers can perform fund transfers, bill payments, and balance inquiries without interruption.
