PM Kisan Budget Update: Presenting her ninth consecutive Union Budget on Sunday, February 1, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced an allocation of Rs 63,500 crore for the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme for the 2026-27 financial year. While the central government has kept the annual assistance amount unchanged at Rs 6,000 per year, the uninterrupted continuation of the PM Kisan scheme has played a vital role in sustaining farmers’ trust.

The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme was launched in 2019 to provide eligible farmers with an annual financial aid of Rs 6,000. The aid is directly transferred to their bank accounts in three equal instalments. Currently, the scheme supports over 11 crore farmers across the country, ensuring stable financial support throughout the year.

When Will Eligible Farmers Receive The Next Instalment Of PM Kisan?

The 22nd instalment of Rs 2,000 is expected to be credited to the farmers' bank accounts in the last week of the month. Till now, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has released 21 instalments under the PM-Kisan scheme.

Step-By-Step Process To Check PM Kisan Beneficiary Status Online

Step 1: Visit the PM Kisan official website at pmkisan.gov.in.

Step 2: On the homepage, look for the "Farmers Corner" section.

Step 3: Click on the Know Your Status (or "Beneficiary Status") option.

Step 4: Enter your Aadhaar Number or Account Number and verify using OTP, which is sent to your registered mobile number.

Step 5: Click on "Get Data" to view your beneficiary status.

Step 6: The screen will display your personal details, e-KYC status, and a detailed history of all instalments, including the upcoming instalment.
