Gold Price Today: The price of gold continued the downward trend, that picked up after the festive season, on Tuesday on Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX). At around 9:22 am, the gold was trading at Rs 78,278, down 0.18 per cent, per 10 grams against the previous day's closing value on MCX. Earlier, the gold rate was soaring high during the festive season, but for the last three days, it has been on a declining path. The price of gold remains volatile in various commodity exchange platforms during trading hours, following the demand and supply of the yellow metal. However, the rate of gold does not change for a given day in the retail market.

The rate of 24-karat gold today in India is Rs 80,390 per 10 grams, for 22-karat the price is Rs 73,690. While the price for the 19-karat gold is Rs 60,290 per 10 grams. It is better to check the rate of gold in your city before buying because it changes every day.
