PM Kisan Yojana 23rd Installment: The 23rd instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana will be released today, June 20. Under this scheme, eligible small and marginal farmers receive Rs 2,000 directly into their bank accounts as part of the annual income support of Rs 6,000.

In an official post on X, Agriculture INDIA confirmed, "Mark the date: the 23rd instalment of PM-KISAN is set to be released on 20th June 2026, bringing continued financial strength directly to the accounts of our Annadatas."

Registered beneficiaries are advised to ensure all required details are correctly updated to avoid delays in receiving payments.

Are Banks Closed Today?

Farmers across the country are confused about whether banks will be open or closed on the day of credit. Under RBI rules, banks are closed on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of every month, plus all Sundays. Banks stay open on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Saturdays. As June 20, 2026 falls on the 3rd Saturday of the month. So yes, banks are open today. Customers can visit branches for deposits, withdrawals, and other services as usual.

PM Kisan Samman Nidhi 23rd Installment: Who Are Eligible?

Only those farmers whose names are included in the official beneficiary list will receive the payment. Additionally, they must ensure that all required formalities are completed, including:

-e-KYC verification

-Linking Aadhaar with bank accounts

-Verification of land records

-Incomplete or incorrect details may result in delayed or withheld payments.

How To check PM Kisan Samman Nidhi 23rd Installment payment status?

Farmers can check their instalment status through the official PM-Kisan portal by following these steps:

  • Go to the official PM-Kisan website at https://pmkisan.gov.in/.
  • Click on “Beneficiary Status” on the homepage.
  • Enter Aadhaar number, registered mobile number, or registration ID.
  • Fill in the CAPTCHA code shown on the screen.
  • Select “Get Data” to view the status.
