PM Kisan Yojana 21st Installment: The festival season is expected to bring good news for the farmers as the Central Government is expected to release the 21st installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Yojana (PMKY) Scheme around the time of Diwali. In the 20th installment, the government had released more than Rs 20,500 crore to over 9.7 crore farmers, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi releasing the amount from Varanasi on August 2.

What Is The PM Kisan Yojana?

The PM Kisan Yojana is a central government scheme aimed at giving farmers up to Rs 6000 per year as a minimum support income. The amount will be distributed in three installments in a year. The initiative was announced by Piyush Goyal in 2019.

The last installment was disbursed on August 2, 2025, and the next installment is expected to be given around Diwali. The payments made under the PMKY is expected to help the farmers to buy agricultural products and household goods.

Who Are Eligible For The PM Kisan Yojana?

To be eligible for the PM Kisan Yojana, beneficiaries must fulfill one of the following criteria:

  • Must belong to a landholding farmer family with husband, wife and minor involved in agriculture. 

  • Must have a minimum cultivable land of two hectares.

  • Must be listed in the respective states and union territories under the PM Kisan Yojana scheme.

What Are The Documents Required For Beneficiaries?

The following documents are required for the beneficiaries of the PM Kisan Yojana:

  • Aadhaar card

  • Bank account details

  • Land ownership documents

  • Mobile number

Steps To Check The Beneficiary Status:

  • Step 1: Visit the official website of the PMKY: https://pmkisan.gov.in/

  • Step 2: Click Beneficiary Status under the Farmers Corner.

  • Step 3: Enter Aadhar or bank number.

  • Step 4: Check payment history and eligibility

Steps To Link Mobile Number:

  • Step 1: Visit pmkisan.gov.in

  • Step 2: Go to the Farmers Corner.

  • Step 3: Select on Update Mobile Number option.

  • Step 4: Enter the Aadhar number and other details.

  • Step 5: Verify the same with an OTP.

Note: E-KYC is mandatory for all beneficiaries.
