Days before the inauguration of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, images purportedly featuring Lord Ram (Relacing Mahatma Gandhi) on Rs 500 banknotes have been widely shared on social sites
Earlier, rumours circulated that 'The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) would release notes (with lord Rama Picture) on January 22'. However, These all are rumours only, there is no fact behind them. The same has been debunked as well.

The fake notes feature Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir in place of the Red Fort, and an image of a bow and an arrow was shared by Raghun Murthy, an X (formerly Twitter) user, on January 14. In no time the image started getting a lot of circulation. Some users started narrating fake assumptions about it
Later on, the user himself clarified all the rumours and urged people not to misuse his creative work to spread misinformation.
“Someone has misused my creative work to spread misinformation on Twitter. I want to clarify that I do not support or own any of the misinformation they have attributed to my work. It's important to me that my creativity is not misrepresented in any way,” the user posted a clarification on X rings #misinformation #creativity
Another user, who claimed as a friend of the above-mentioned user, wrote, “Edited by my friend @raghunmurthy07, this piece is a product of creativity and not intended to be presented as notes. Please refrain from spreading misinformation.”
These clarifications are enough to disrupt the chain of misinformation being circulated the fake banknote. however, one should always recheck any such information with credible sources like RBI's website, government press releases, and news websites. If there is no such information there then the circulated information must not be correct.
Furthermore, one should refrain from sharing such information without credible sources.
