Fast bowler Ali Khan, who represents the United States of America Cricket team, has been denied an Indian visa. Notably, Khan is of Pakistani origin as he was born in Attock city in the Punjab region of Pakistan. The pacer confirmed the development through an Instagram story on Tuesday (January 13), where he captioned a picture, “India visa denied but KFC for the win."
Khan is likely to be a part of the USA squad, which is set to be announced soon.

Khan has featured in 15 ODIs and 18 T20Is for the USA with 49 wickets in his international career. Interestingly, the 35-year-old pacer was also a part of the USA squad for the T20 World Cup 2024 which was played in West Indies and the United States.

Ali Khan has accumulated 93 wickets in 99 T20 matches in leagues around the world. He has represented Abu Dhabi Knight Riders in the first three seasons before moving to the Gulf Giants in ILT20 2025-26.
Kolkata Knight Riders roped him in as a replacement player for England's Harry Gurney; however, he didn’t get a chance to play in any matches for the Shah Rukh Khan-owned team.

The matches of the T20 World Cup 2026 will take place from February 7 to May 8. They will be held at five venues in India: Ahmedabad, Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai.
