Duleep Trophy 2024: During the Duleep Trophy match, India D had taken a huge lead against India C on the back of brilliant performances by Shreyas Iyer and Devdutt Padikkal. Iyer played a captain's innings as he scored 54 runs off 44 balls, whereas Padikkal scored a gritty knock of 56 runs off 70 balls. Their performances helped the team bounce back after a disastrous start and put them in the driver's position at stumps on the second day after openers Atharv Taide and Yash Dubey fell cheaply.
The Ruturaj Gaikwad-led side India C was skittled out for 168 runs, on the back of the brilliant bowling performance of Harshit Rana, who registered figures of 4/33, and Axar Patel, who took two wickets and conceded 46 runs. But at the same time, India suffered a batting collapse as Vijaykumar Vyshak rattled their batting lineup by quickly taking the wickets of Taide and Dubey.
