India vs Australia, World Cup 2023 Final: Australia skipper Pat Cummins turned down all the talks over the pitch for the final of the ODI World Cup 2023 against India, saying that there are no concerns over the pitch as it will be the same for both teams.

The final of the tournament is set to be played against India and Australia at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday, November 19.

Cummins faced multiple questions over the pitch for the summit clash and his team's preparation for the upcoming challenge but he was diligent to respond and revealed that the pitch seems to be the one that was used for the high-voltage India vs Pakistan match on October 14.

"Yeah, I mean, it's hard to say. It's obviously the same for both teams. No doubt playing on your own wicket in your own country has some advantages, similar to wickets that you've been playing your whole life. But we've played a lot of cricket over here. So, yeah, we'll wait and see," Pat Cummins said in the pre-match press conference.

Cummins also went on to say that the Aussies are ready for all the challenges that will be thrown at them in the all-important title clash.

India have been the most consistent and only undefeated side in the tournament as they head to the final as favorites. They will have immense support in front of the home crowd in Ahmedabad.

"No doubt playing on your own wicket in your own country has some advantages," said Cummins.

"But we've played a lot of cricket over here. We'll be ready in terms of anything they'll throw at us...we'll make sure we have some plans."

Australia have been the most successful side in the history of the tournament, having lifted the cup for a record five times.

Cummins, who was part of the title-winning side in 2015 would be keen to join the likes of Steve Waugh and Ricky Ponting in the elite list by leading his team to the World Cup win.

"It would be huge," he said. "We were all kids not too long ago, watching some of those great teams win the 1999, 2003, and 2007 World Cups."

"To be captain (of a World Cup-winning team) would be an absolute privilege...it'd be awesome. It (the World Cup) has got the longest history of a world event where all the teams compete.

"You only get a shot at it every four years. So even if you have a long career, you might only play in two of these events. 2015 is still a career highlight for me, but I think tomorrow, if we win, might pip it."
