IND vs ENG: The England Cricket Team touched down at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad on Sunday evening for their upcoming five-match Test series against India. The eagerly anticipated long-format series is scheduled to commence on January 25 in Hyderabad and will reach its conclusion on March 11 in Dharamshala with the fifth and final Test.

England will be in action for the first time in Test cricket post the ODI World Cup 2023. The team's last Test engagement took place in June 2023 against Australia in the Ashes series, resulting in a 2-2 scoreline.

Ahead of their journey to India, the England squad witnessed a change as batter Dan Lawrence was brought in to replace young talent Harry Brook, who withdrew from the five-Test series against India due to personal reasons.

A new era will unfold for England as the star all-rounder Ben Stokes will take the reins to lead the Test team during the 5-match series. Debutants Tom Hartley and Shoaib Bashir, part of the England Lions squad that trained in the United Arab Emirates last month, are also a part of the squad.

Vice-captain Ollie Pope and Jack Leach, returning from injury, further strengthen the squad after their training stint in the UAE. The absence of Chris Woakes, Liam Dawson, and Will Jacks can be costly for the visitors.

England’s pace attack will be spearheaded by James Anderson, with uncapped Gus Atkinson acting as his deputy along with Mark Wood and Ollie Robinson.

Wicketkeeper Ben Foakes, making a comeback after being excluded from the Ashes squad earlier this year, adds depth to the team's lineup. Jonny Bairstow will serve as the team's other wicketkeeper, while Ollie Pope and Leach return to action after recovering from injuries.
