IND vs NZ T20 World Cup 2026 Final: Ex-India cricketer Akash Chopra has cautioned the Men in Blue about New Zealand's star fast bowler Matt Henry, noting Henry's impressive skills and the challenge he could present on a flat surface in Motera. Chopra also advised in-form opener Sanju Samson to be cautious during Henry’s over.

Henry has been New Zealand's standout performer in the ongoing event, taking 9 wickets in 7 matches at an average of 20.67 and an economy rate of 7.59. He can be compared to India's Jasprit Bumrah in terms of his impact as a fast bowler for his team. Bumrah is known for his ability to swing the ball, bowl consecutive bouncers, and vary his deliveries to suit different situations.

“Matt Henry is a very dangerous bowler, and he is going to cause problems for India in the final. Sometimes he can be expensive, but he is one of those bowlers who takes the pitch out of the equation. He is quick in the air, has the speed and the ability to bowl yorkers, and he’s not predictable at all. He has a lethal bouncer in his arsenal, so you cannot line him up easily. He sticks to his plans, which will challenge the Indian batters," Chopra was quoted as saying on JioStar.

“Sanju Samson will have to play carefully against him. Sanju has a habit of standing deep in the crease with both feet. That led to his dismissal against Henry in the Guwahati T20I. Henry bowled a quick delivery, and Sanju could not read it. He got out for a golden duck. Matt Henry can produce results with the new ball. Samson will have to watch out for him," he further said.
