Asia Cup Final: As India defeated Pakistan to clinch the ninth Asia Cup title on Sunday, skipper Suryakumar Yadav was full of praise for his team's performance in the tournament. Notably, India defeated their bitter rivals not once but thrice in this multi-nation tournament to exert their dominance against them.
While speaking to the reporters, Suryakumar also reacted to the Prime Minister's tweet after India's win.
On PM Modi's tweet "Operation Sindoor on the games field", Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav says, "It feels good when the country's leader himself bats on the front foot; it felt like he took the strike and scored runs. It was great to see, and when the sir is standing in front, then definitely the players will play freely."
"The most important thing is that the whole country is celebrating. When we go back (to India), it will feel good, and we will get more inspiration and motivation to do well."

Salman Agha-led Pakistan side was no match for India's dominance in the entire tournament. India got the better of Pakistan as many three times. Firstly, in the group stage (by seven wickets), then in the Super 4s encounter (by six wickets), and lastly in the final of the competition (by five wickets).
Suryakumar Yadav's Gold Gesture For Indian Armed Forces
The Indian captain also declared that he will donate his entire match fee from the Asia Cup to the country's armed forces and the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack.
India outclassed Pakistan by five wickets in the final to win the trophy on Sunday night here.
"I have decided to donate my match fees from this tournament to support our Armed Forces and the families of the victims who suffered from the Pahalgam terror attack. You always remain in my thoughts. Jai Hind," the 35-year-old posted on 'X' after the high-voltage win.

As per the fee structure, each Indian player is entitled to four lakh per match in the T20 format, which means that Suryakumar would be donating a total of Rs 28 lakh for the seven games played in the continental event.
