India vs South Africa 2nd Test: Guwahati's Barsapara Cricket Stadium hosts its first-ever Test match, and what makes it more special is that the game between India and South Africa will feature tea being taken before the Lunch break during the five-day contest.

The second Test is extremely crucial for the hosts, as they are coming into the match facing a defeat against South Africa in the first Test by 30 runs and currently staring at a second series loss at home in as many years.

To put the salt on the wounds, India will be without its regular skipper Shubman Gill, who was ruled out of the Guwahati Test due to a neck injury that he suffered in the first Test. Rishabh Pant replaced Gill as India's captain.

The second Test will be engraved in the history books as it will also mark a historic occasion in the format’s history, as Tea will be placed before lunch during the game.

Normally, in the Tests, the Lunch is taken before the Tea, but BCCI had to make an unconventional change considering Guwahati's rapidly fading light in north-east India.

IND vs SA 2nd Test session timings

First Session: 9 am to 11 am.

Tea Break – 11- 11:20 am

Second Session: 11.20 am to 1.20 pm.

Lunch Break – 1:20 to 2 pm

Third Session: 2 pm to 4 pm.

Meanwhile, talking about the ongoing match, South Africa captain Temba Bavuma won the toss and elected to bat against India in the second Test here on Saturday.

South Africa lead the two-match series 1-0 after winning the first Test in Kolkata by 30 runs.

India made two more changes with B Sai Sudharsan and Nitish Kumar Reddy coming in for Gill and Axar Patel.
