India vs South Africa 2nd ODI Updates: Quinton de Kock came up with an incredible effort to smash a century during the third and final ODI match between India and South Africa at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam on Saturday. This was De Kock's 23rd ODI century as he took just 80 balls to achieve the milestone.

De Kock etched his name in history books as he joined Sanath Jayasuriya to have smashed the most ODI centuries against India. This was De Kock's 7th hundred against the Men in Blue in 23 matches, whereas Sri Lanka's legendary batter Jayasuriya had taken 89 matches for the similar achievement.

De Kock's effort received huge recognition from Virat Kohli, who was clapping in applause. Virat himself has smashed two centuries so far and will be looking to complete an incredible hat-trick of hundreds in the series.

Notably, De Kock has now become the non-Indian player with the most ODI centuries against one single team. The left-handed batter now has the joint-most ODI centuries as a designated wicket-keeper alongside Kumar Sangakkara. During his 15-year-long international career, Sangakkara played 360 ODI matches for his 23 centuries, whereas De Kock equalled the tally in his 160th ODI match.

Having recently made his return to international cricket after reversing his retirement, De Kock has looked promising. However, he had a disappointing outing in the first two matches against South Africa.
