India vs South Africa 2nd Test: South Africa were bowled out for 489 runs in their first innings of the second Test against India at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on Sunday. Kuldeep Yadav wrapped things up a few minutes before the stumps with the wicket of Marco Jansen in the 152nd over.
Jansen missed out on his maiden Test century as he was dismissed for 93 runs in 91 balls, having smashed six fours and seven sixes. Kuldeep Yadav was the pick of the bowlers for India as he took four wickets for 115 runs in 29.1 overs. India will come out to bat for a while and will be aiming to go back to the hunt without losing any wickets.
The day belonged to Senuran Muthusamy, who produced a memorable effort with the bat. He made the Indian bowlers work hard for almost the whole day, smashing his maiden Test century. The left-handed batter went on to play an impressive knock of 109 runs in 206 balls, hitting 10 fours and two sixes. Resuming from the overnight score of 247/6, Muthusamy and Kyle Verreynne frustrated the hosts as the Proteas ended the first session without losing any wickets.
