IND vs SA 3rd ODI: India's star batter Rohit Sharma scored a match-winning knock of 75 runs off 73 balls and stitched a brilliant partnership of 155 runs for the first wicket with Yashasvi Jaiswal, and gave the hosts a flying start while chasing. During the third ODI in Vizag, Rohit showed his batting prowess, hitting 7 fours and 3 sixes and helping the team win by 9 wickets, and they also won the series. Post winning this series, the Men in Blue celebrated by cutting a cake in their team's hotel, and in these celebrations, when Jaiswal, who had hit the first ODI, was seen offering a cake to him, Rohit didn't eat it.

During the third ODI, he didn't just help the team win the match; he also achieved the milestone of scoring 20000 runs in international cricket. He needed just 27 runs to achieve this feat, and he did so by taking a single in Keshav Maharaj's over.
He became the 4th Indian cricketer, Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, and Virat Kohli, to have scored 20000 runs. He has now scored 20,048 runs after playing in 504 matches and has surpassed AB de Villiers in the list of highest run-scorers.
